Says Mera Brand Pakistan exhibition will also be organized in Islamabad in November
LAHORE, August 14: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that “Mera Brand Pakistan” is not merely an exhibition but an ideology. He said that Pakistani products in no way lag behind the products of the world and only need is to correct the policies, provide facilities to the industries, decrease the cost of production and increase the exports.
While talking to media persons after inaugurating the “Mera Brand Pakistan” exhibition in Lahore, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that now Mera Brand Pakistan is linked with Independence Day of Pakistan. He said last year Mera Brand Pakistan exhibition was held in one hall but now stalls of Mera Brand Pakistan are present everywhere at the Expo Centre. The ceremony was also addressed by President Pak International Business Forum Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, President Lahore Chamber Faheemur Rehman, Senior Vice President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalid Usman, Sohail Aziz, Asim Sanjrani, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed and Secretary Pak Business Forum Ijaz Tanveer.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that when Israel was inflicting atrocities on Palestinians, the people throughout the world were running the campaign of boycotting Israeli products, adding that in this scenario first time as alternate to the boycott this kind of exhibition was organized. He said that the problem is not only of boycott but to produce alternate best quality products.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Pakistani products in no way are lagging behind in quality from anyone but the industries should have to be provided with facilities at the government-level. He said that there is need to end the problems being faced due to the government system and policies. He said that if cost of utility and energy is increased then certainly the cost of production of the products will also be increased resulting in making Pakistani products unable to compete in the international market. He said that the government should have to focus on resolution of the basic problems being facing by the industries including electricity and petrol prices.
Hafiz Naeemrur Rehman said that Mera Brand Pakistan is a completely Pakistani brand and purpose of this is to introduce Pakistani products in country and whole world and also increase the exports. Emir JI said that we should have to keep the prices low along with ensuring improving the quality so that demand of Pakistani products is increased at the international market.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced that Mera Brand Pakistan exhibition will also be organized in Islamabad in November, adding that there is also plan to take this exhibition to Turkiye, Bangladesh and other countries. He said that unity and economic cooperation should have to be promoted among the Islamic countries so that reliance on foreign powers and enemy countries could be decreased.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while criticizing the energy policy of the government said that the government struck such agreements with IPPs which are burdening masses and industries. According to him, the government received Rs 1,900 billion in form of levy. Hafiz Naeemur remanded demanded that the government should end the burden being collected in form of levy so that the people could get relief, cost of production is decreased and trade and industry of the country have opportunities of progressing.
