JI Chief, Iranian Envoy Discuss Regional Situation

Islamabad, April 7, 2026: A meeting was held between Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman and Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri-Moghaddam in Islamabad, where both sides exchanged views on the regional situation and the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.

During the meeting at the office of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, discussions focused on the war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel, along with the broader regional security landscape.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman praised the resilience and courage of the Iranian nation, reaffirming solidarity with Iran during a difficult time. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand with their Iranian counterparts and called for unity among Muslim countries in response to current regional developments. He also urged the United States to halt attacks on Iran and withdraw its military bases from the region.

The JI chief reiterated continued support for the struggle for the liberation of Palestine and the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stating that efforts would continue until the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state.

Ambassador Reza Amiri-Moghaddam thanked the people and government of Pakistan, and particularly Jamaat-e-Islami, for their clear and principled stance. He also appreciated the JI’s role in promoting Muslim unity and its continued advocacy on regional issues.
