JI Emir Calls for Education, Employment, and Democratic Freedoms for Youth

Faisalabad – Oct 10: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has called upon the government to ensure democratic freedoms, education, and employment opportunities for the youth, saying that the state must fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.
“A privileged class has divided the nation and captured power. People must unite against a small ruling elite to reclaim their rights,” he said while while addressing the “Bano Qabil Entry Test” ceremony organized under the Alkhidmat Foundation in Faisalabad.
Thousands appeared in the entrance test for free IT courses at Crescent Ground. Rehman congratulated Alkhidmat and JI workers on successfully organizing the test. He announced that one million youth will be trained in free IT courses over the next two years.
“Bano Qabil program will be expanded nationwide and will soon include degree-level programs. The initiative will increase Pakistan’s IT exports by $3–4 billion within the next few years.”
Questioning the government’s failure to provide free and quality education, Rehman said, “If Alkhidmat can provide free education to such a large number of students, why can’t the state do the same? Free, quality education is every citizen’s right.” He pointed out that around 27 million children are out of school in Pakistan, including 10 million in Punjab alone, where the PML-N has ruled for nearly 40 years. “What happened to the PML-N slogan of an ‘educated Punjab’?” he asked.
“Instead of spending public money on self-promotion, Maryam Nawaz should give people their due rights. Her decision to hand over 17,000 public schools to NGOs will not be tolerated.” He vowed that JI will continue to fight for the public’s rights and work with youth to advance Pakistan in education, IT, health, and sports.
“Pakistan does not belong to politicians, generals, or bureaucrats—it belongs to its people,” he asserted. The JI leader urged the youth not to lose hope, to take pride in their faith and country, and to stand up against an outdated system and its protectors through constructive, not destructive, means. Referring to Generation Z, which makes up nearly 60 million Pakistanis, he said he is confident that the youth will make Pakistan a great nation.
He also invited the youth and people of Faisalabad to attend the JI historic public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan on November 21–23.
