Balochistan’s youth need education, not military operations: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman

Quetta: September 19: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said that the youth of Balochistan seek progress through education and skills, not military operations.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Bano Qabil program at Ayub Stadium Quetta on Friday, he stressed that the future of Pakistan depends on empowering its young generation through knowledge, particularly in information technology.
Thousands of boys and girls appeared in entry tests to enroll in free IT courses under Bano Qabil, an initiative of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
Speaking to the participants, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman declared that those who conspire against the state or wish to see Pakistan broken should understand that Jamaat-e-Islami will stand firm to protect the country. “Pakistan was founded on an ideology, and we are its guardians,” he said.
He urged the government to shift its focus from controversial mineral contracts towards investing in education, training, and IT development. “By equipping our youth with digital skills, we can boost IT exports and bring prosperity,” he added. Rehman further emphasized that Pakistan belongs to its people, not to any ruling elite.
The JI chief demanded peace, basic facilities, and the removal of decades-old deprivations in Balochistan, saying the province’s progress is essential for the prosperity of the entire nation. Criticizing the electoral system, he said rulers are imposed on the people, while only two JI members in the Balochistan Assembly came through genuine Form-45 votes. He called for free and fair opportunities for the people to choose their true representatives.
Highlighting the recent long march led by JI Balochistan Emir Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman for provincial rights, Rehman praised the support shown by the people of Punjab. He announced that JI would present the case of Balochistan and oppressed communities nationwide at its historic public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan in November, inviting the people of Balochistan to participate.
He also condemned Israeli atrocities in Gaza under American patronage, calling on Pakistanis to unite against global oppressors and their local collaborators.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman also spoke on occasion. He said that Balochistan’s real wealth lies not in minerals but in its youth, who are full of talent and potential.
