Not installing early warning system about weather is criminal negligence of the rulers: Hafiz Naeem
Says the rulers while spending billions of rupees on their personal publicity are committing a serious crime
ISLAMABAD, Sep 07: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that not installing the early warning system about weather is the criminal negligence of the rulers. He said that the responsible should be identified, adding that the rulers while spending billions of rupees on their personal publicity are committing a serious crime. He said the people involved in deforestation are part of the government.
This was stated by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing the seminar titled “Securing the Future, Water Resource Management & Environmental Sustainability in Pakistan”, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad. The seminar was also addressed by Deputy Secretary General JI Pakistan Syed Farasat Shah, expert water resources Engineer Bashir Lakhani, provincial secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Naeem Khan, international water expert Akhtar Ali, Dean Faculty of Environmental Sciences Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad Sohail Yousuf, Advisor WAPDA Shahid Hameed and others.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that JI presents the solution of the problems in front of Pakistani nation, adding that due to non presentation of the solutions of the problems by the government, the country faces difficulties, adding that the water issue will be made part of the Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Re-build Pakistan” plan. He said that if the nation is taken along systematically, the country could move far forward. Emir JI said that we have defeated our arch enemy in a difficult time.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Pakistan started receiving loan on soft conditions for early waning in 2017 but the governments took no steps for the early warning, adding that those who did not install the early warning system should be identified. Emir JI Pakistan said that the international community should be forced to fulfill its responsibility regarding the global warming, adding that the government should raise this issue at the international level. He said that the governments did not play their role in presenting Pakistan’s environment case. He said that the real reason of problems is crisis of confidence and good governance. He said that the governments should confess their failures, adding that billions of rupees are being spent on advertisements for personal publicity, adding that spending on personal publicity is a serious crime.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the workers of JI while putting their own lives in danger help the people in difficult time. He said that if the government has arguments in favour of Kalabagh Dam then they should be presented before the masses. He said that work should be done on other dams while quitting the disputed dams. He said that the masses should think whether they need honest leadership or these thieves and dacoits will remain imposed.
