KARACHI: SEPTEMBER 18: In a rare show of unity, thousands of school going children — both girls and boys, marched in Karachi to express solidarity with the children in Israel occupied Gaza, here on Thursday.
The march, themed “Unite with Gaza” was organized under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi on Sharah-e-Quaideen. A large number of schools participated in the event. The students sang poems and presented tableau, highlighting the courage of Gaza children in the face of tyranny, hunger and death.
On behalf of Usman Public School System, its Executive Director Moenuddin Neyar presented a cheque worth three million rupees as donation for the children in Gaza, whereas Star Academy Shakir Shakoor also announced to donate Rs100 thousands for the same cause.
JI Pakistan Ameer Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman addressed the students. He paid a rich tribute to the participants for airing a clear message that hearts of Karachi children beat with their counterparts in Gaza. He said that no matter how lethargic and useless manner, the leaders of the Muslim world responded to Israel — children in Karachi announced to support Gaza in letter and spirit.
“Where are the trailblazers and champions of human rights,” he asked while questioning their silence in connection with the case of Gaza, Palestine. It's humanitarian crises and all the people of conscience in the world side with Gaza, Palestine, he said.
On the basis of their beliefs, Zionist forces were killing innocent people just to establish their religious and racial supremacy, he said. He further said that the Ummat will not forget the children slaughtered in Gaza.
He asked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to shun his dual standards. He said that the United States has been global terrorist since its inception and highlighted Heroshema and Nagasaki nuclear blasts. He further said that US President Donald Trump was hands in gloves with Israeli President Netanyahu when it comes to the bloodbath in Gaza. He said that in the given scenario, Trump doesn’t deserve any respect as he provides the driving force for Israel to kill innocent Palestinians. He also criticized the rulers for nominating Trump for peace prize despite his undue favors for Israel and sponsorship for genocide in Gaza.
He said that unfortunately, an association of the US slaves rules over the country. He said that the rulers left no stone unturned to please the US — no matter how lethal the actions were for the integrity of Pakistan.
On the occasion, he welcomed the accord defence accord between Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Pakistan and urged the two sides to bring other Muslim countries under the same umbrella.
Hamas is a legitimate resistance force, whereas Israel was nothing but occupied land of Palestine, he said. The JI leader said that the time has come to hold the global terrorist gang, consist of Netanyahu, Trump and their allies responsible for their crimes against humanity. On the occasion, he made it clear that the so-called two state solution was a sugar coated poison and tantamount to notifying Israeli occupation as legitimate.
He said that the JI also supports Samud Freedom Flotilla. He was of the view the people of conscience across the globe support Palestinian resistance fighters against Israeli aggressors and occupying forces.
Naeemur Rehman announced that on October 5, million march would be taken out in Karachi, whereas on October 7, protests and programs would be held on the international front.
He paid a rich tribute to the participants of the march for their overwhelming support for the cause of Gaza and other parts of Palestine.
JI Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar Khan also addressed the event. He said in his address that the children assembled on the road to express solidarity with Palestinians. He further said that Muslim countries couldn’t survive even 17 days of war against Israel, whereas Gaza children have been resisting for more than the past 700 days.
History won't forgive the Muslim rulers as they did nothing for the oppressed people of Gaza, despite all the might and resources they have accumulated. He appealed the masses to renew the drive to boycott Israeli products and interests.
