Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has described overseas Pakistanis as ambassadors of Islam and Pakistan, urging them to use their skills, experience and international connections to contribute to the country’s development and prosperity.
He was addressing the two-day annual convention of the JI Overseas Forum, titled Jazb-e-Baham 2026, held at Mansoorah in Lahore, which brought together delegates from across the world.
“We must work together for Pakistan’s development, prosperity and a brighter future,” Hafiz Naeem said, emphasising the importance of positive representation of Pakistan and Islam, stronger connections among overseas Pakistanis and collective efforts for the country’s progress.
The convention was chaired by Overseas Forum Director Razi Muhammad Wali. The forum’s supervisor, JI Vice Emir Dr Ataur Rehman, and Acting Secretary General Nazir Ahmad Janjua also attended the gathering, along with representatives of the forum’s organisational chapters in various countries.
Rehman urged overseas Pakistanis to strengthen mutual cooperation, promote a positive image of their country and religion, and play an active role in Pakistan’s development by drawing on their professional expertise and international networks.
