ISTANBUL 02 Nov: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman met Muslim Brotherhood Egypt’s Murshad Aaam Salah Abdul Haq and its central leadership in Istanbul, discussing the evolving situation in the Middle East, US and Israeli aggression in the region, the situation involving Iran and Gulf countries, and major challenges facing the Muslim world.

The meeting also covered tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the intellectual and moral development of Muslim youth, and the challenges confronting Islamic movements.

The leaders stressed that unity, mutual consultation and a coordinated strategy among Muslim countries and movements had become more important than ever amid changing global and regional circumstances.

They also reviewed escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly the situation in Palestine, and the impact of US and Israeli policies on regional stability.
