Hafiz Naeem’s Major Gaza March Address | Palestine, Pakistan’s Role & Long March Warning

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Engineer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman addressed the Gaza March in Islamabad, speaking at length about Palestine, Gaza, the international response to the conflict, Pakistan’s role, and Jamaat-e-Islami’s ongoing public movement.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman criticised the international community’s response to the situation in Gaza and called for stronger action by Muslim countries in support of Palestinians. He said that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye should make Palestine a priority in their cooperation.

He also spoke about the significance of October 7, Hamas and the broader Palestinian resistance, while discussing the role of Islamic movements and their connection with society.

In the domestic context, Hafiz Naeem reiterated Jamaat-e-Islami’s demand for the abolition of the petroleum levy, saying that the government’s relief measures were insufficient. He stated that if the government does not fulfil its commitments, Jamaat-e-Islami could resume its long march from Multan.

The address also covered Pakistan’s political and economic situation, including the role of the ruling elite, various alleged “mafia” networks, IPPs, public welfare and the need for political and economic reforms.
