The Sectarianism and Violence

The religious parties are blamed to be responsible for the sectarianism, which was the cause of ever increasing terrorism, killings and subversive activities. How the Jama’at suggests to end these subversions carried out in the name of religion?

Jama’at worked hard to constitute the "Milli Yakjehti Council" (M.Y.C.). The objective was to eliminate the seeds of sectarianism. All concerned were made to sit on one table and sort it out. A code of conduct was also prepared. Unfortunately the "hands" that are busy tearing the bonds of unity and are bent upon destruction, proved more powerful and resourceful than the forces of unity. The government and the bureaucracy also have a hand in it, because they resort to the old tactic of "divide and rule". The Sectarian religious groups have always been lined up against each other. It is the blessing of Allah that Jama’at-e-Islami is absolutely clean in this respect. We offer our prayers in every mosque, following the "imam" no matter what "fiqh" he belongs to. Jamaat has in its ranks members belonging to Shia, Sunni, Devbandi, Brelvi and Ahlehadith schools of thought. We request all to join hands in matters that are common and set aside differences, because that is the only way to face the present day challenges. Quaid-e-Azam stressed upon the same formula of unity in every speech that Muslims believing in one God, one Prophet (p.b.u.h) and one Qur'an should become one millat and avoid dualism and hypocrisy. Allama Iqbal gave the same message through his poetry that the Muslim millat has one God, one Prophet(p.b.u.h.), one Book and one Ka'ba. These commonalties can bring the millat together. Those who fan the differences at a time when we are facing numerous global threats, are a source of shame for the whole millat. Those who kill innocent people in the mosques and "imambarghas" are open agents of the enemies of Islam.
