Oath of Presidency

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful

I ___________________ son of ___________________ who has been appointed/elected President of the Jama’at-e-Islami, invoke Allah, the Lord of the Universe, as witness and swear on oath that:

  1. I shall give priority to obedience and loyalty to Allah and His Prophet over any other consideration.
  2. I shall consider the service of Jama’at’s mission whole-heartedly as my foremost obligation.
  3. I shall give preference to Jama’at ’s interests and the obligations of its work over my own person and personal benefits.
  4. I shall decide among the members of the Jama’at with justice and honesty.
  5. I shall protect what is entrusted to me in terms of trusts of the Jama’at and the Jama’at’s system.
  6. I shall abide by the Constitution of the Jama’at and shall remain loyal to it.

May Allah help me to fulfil this covenant. Ameen
