LAHORE, May 4: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has stressed upon Ummah's unity as the biggest need of the hour saying entire Ummah must get united against America and declare that Washington's so called war against terror is actually a war against Islam and Muslims and if it was not stopped immediately then all Muslims of the world will resist against Washington.

He was addressing as chief guest at the opening session of 3-day "Muslim Unity Conference" in Tehran, says a message received here at the JI offices in Mansoorah. The session was presided over by former president of Iran Ali Akbar Hashmi Rafsanjani.

Qazi condemned the American threats being hurled against Pakistan and Iran, and said the unity of Iranian nation and their spirit to fight till death against the colonists has actually become a symbol of Iran's security, sovereignty and independence, which should serve as guiding principle for whole Muslim world.

Qazi expressed sorrow that resources of Muslim world have been captured by the West only because of the Muslim rulers. He discussed in details the American and allies' occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, Muslim genocide in Kashmir and Palestine, and emphasizing that all those challenges could only be combated with Muslim unity. Qazi termed the conference as the correct step at the right time, and said Conference's Charter of Unity will prove to be the practical step for Ummah's unity at global level.

Hashmir Rafsanjani said America is greedily eyeing the resources of Muslim world, and Muslims must step up their resistance against her. He said America at present is facing serious crises including trade deficit, power crisis and moral depravity and chaos, adding that if Muslims could get over their weaknesses then they could easily tackle American aggression.
