MQM a group of wolves: Amirul azim

LAHORE, May 1: Jamaat-e-Islami information secretary Amirul Azim has said that MQM is a group of 'wolves in human's clothing' which has unleashed a reign of terror, massacre and extortion in Karachi for the last 22 years.

In his statement on Thursday, in response to reported criticism of JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad by MQM's Saleem Shahzad, Amirul Azim said MQM chief Altaf Hussain is leading a luxurious life in London whose entire expenses are borne through extortion of 'Bhatta' from citizens of Karachi.

Azim asked if MQM is so popular a party among the people of Karachi, then why Altaf Hussain is afraid of returning among his followers. Why Altaf Hussain prefers to lead a luxurious but exiled life in London, he asked.

Azim said Jamaat-e-Islami is a peaceful and democratic party working under the limits of the constitution, while MQM is known for extortion of citizens and dead bodies in gunny bags. Peace of Karachi and urban areas of Sindh has become a dream from the day MQM came into being. He said MQM has been declared as terrorist by all saner elements in the world. MQM has always tried to take cover of power corridors to continue its extortion and assassination activities, and for ensuring its seat among power it has always rigged elections through bullet and blackmail, he added. He said European Union's report has exposed MQM's massive rigging of recent elections, adding that certain hidden hands have forced PPP to include MQM into power to continue the game of death and extortion in Karachi and urban Sindh.
