Qazi condemns US violations of Pak sovereignty

LAHORE, Mar 14: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has criticized the increasing American attacks and massacre of innocent civilians inside Pakistani territories besides the demands of US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice from Islamabad to 'do more'.

Delivering Friday sermon at Mansoorah mosque, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the situation is an open attack on Pakistan's sovereignty and an insult of 160 million people. He said the present day Pakistan which is burning under intense civil war, blasts, lawlessness and power crises is a result of the 'Bush-Mush collaboration'. Qazi asked the political parties busy in political wheeling dealing to decide power sharing formulae that instead they should give priority to the violation of country's sovereignty and security, and raise voice on the massacre of innocent Pakistanis by Nato forces.

Qazi expressed sorrow over what he called the frequent visits to US embassy by newly elected parliamentary leaders, terming it the fatal attraction of moths to the flame, and said it is causing serious concerns among the masses who voted for them to rid the nation of US slavery and the so called alliance in war against terror.

Qazi said the country has been turned into killing fields of our citizens and whole nation is under deep fears because of Gen Musharraf's abrupt decision to jump into the US war on terror. He said entire country is in serious pain and protesting against the current bloodshed but on the other hand Washington is demanding from Islamabad to 'do more'. He said the Nato forces are being encouraged to attack inside Pakistani territory by allowing US forces to operate inside our land and the criminal silence by Musharraf regime on the massacre of Pakistani citizens.

He also termed the latest eleven demands of Washington from Islamabad a slap on the face of rulers. He said Pakistan is being considered as US colony in the world because of the total slavery to Washington by Gen Musharraf.
