LAHORE, Mar 2: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Darra Adam Khel and Qila Saifullah causing loss of precious innocent lives and leaving many wounded.

In a statement on Sunday, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the recent increase of bomb blasts to a serious level suggests this ugly game is being played to sabotage the process of government formation and destabilize the country. He said after caretaker interior minister openly accused Washington, Delhi and Kabul of patronizing the terrorists through their agencies, this fact lies totally exposed that Gen Musharraf's decision of becoming frontline ally to US war on terror has coasted dearly to the nation by causing irreparable damage to the country.

He said it was high time Gen Musharraf should prefer national interests over his personal interests and resign immediately. Qazi also demanded that no hurdles should be created in formation of new government and restoration of independent judiciary. He said an independent judiciary, after restoration, will play a vital role in bringing country back on the democratic track, and then the circumstances will be expected to get better.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad expressed heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of the wounded.
