LAHORE, Jan 15: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan's central Shoora has appealed to the world community to play its due role in protecting the victimized people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir from Indian oppression and to establish peace in the region otherwise the regional situation could prove devastating for the peace in the whole world.

This appeal was made through a unanimous resolution adopted by JI shoora on Tuesday, the second day of its 4-day meeting being held at party headquarters Mansoorah chaired by Qazi Hussain Ahmad.

The shoora also announced to observe the "Kashmir solidarity Day" on Feb 5 to highlight the cause of Kashmir freedom from Indian occupation. The Shoora highlighted that Indian army occupation, military crackdowns, killing, wounding and arresting citizens under black laws have made the lives of people worse than hell in occupied Kashmir. It said India has violated all international laws and commitments to world community for allowing right to self determination to Kashmiris and continued its military occupation for over six decades now. During this period about five hundred thousand Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives for the sake of independence and many more have either been crippled or serving detentions.

The Shoora noted with concern that Pakistan's one sided flexibility, new formulae for peace and making unilateral progress for establishing friendly relations with India has literally given up the state acknowledged Kashmir cause and allowed Indian army a licence to kill and spill Kashmiris blood. Pakistan's variable attitude and fast changing stance has caused confusion among Kashmiri leadership and freedom fighters, and they are now cursing Pakistan's frustrating policies and apologetic, corwardly attitude.

The Shoora asked the Kashmiri leadership to join hands on one platform for their right to self determination by realizing the world conspiracies and delicacy of time, so as to defeat the enemy through their unity, brotherhood and perseverance.

The Shoora reiterated its total support to the people, leadership and freedom fighters of Kashmir and assured them that people of Pakistan would continue their support till the dawn of freedom. Shoora appealed to the international community to play its role in ridding the Kashmiris from the Indian atrocities and to fulfill its commitments for their demoractic, fundamental and international rights besides establishing peace in the region, warning that otherwise the Kashmir situation could not only destroy the peace in the region but also in the world.

The meeting announced to observe Kashmir solidarity day with full enthusiasm and spirit in which people will forge complete unity from Karachi to Khyber and from Bhimber to Athmuqam to express their commitment to Kashmir's freedom. The Shoora asked the people of Pakistan to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day with such a determination and spirit so that they could rid themselves of the unconstitutional and illegal rulers occupying their government, which could not only liberate the people of Pakistan but also ensure the freedom to the people of Kashmir.
