    Qazi Taskheeri for unity of Ummah against enemies
 

LAHORE, Apr 16: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad and head of Iranian institute for Muslim unity Ayatollah Mohammad Ali al-Taskheeri on Wednesday expressed agreement that both Pakistan and Iran should combat global challenges to Muslim ummah with complete unity.

They were addressing a reception hosted by Qazi Hussain Ahmad in honor of Aqai Al Taskheeri at Mansoorah. Iranian ambassador Saeed Kharazi and other officials of Consulate in Lahore, and various JI leaders were also present. Addressing the ceremony, Qazi Hussain Ahmad paid tributes to Iranian leadership for resisting western pressure to continue peaceful pursuit of nuclear technology and supporting the cause of oppressed Palestinians. He termed Al-Taskheeri an ambassador of Muslim unity Qazi said there was a need to support his efforts for forging unity among Muslim ummah.

Al-Taskheeri in his address urged upon the Ummah to get united for combating the global enemy designs against Muslim. He said United States has exposed itself as aggressor against Muslims and was now expanding its aggression to all corners of the Muslim world. Ayatollah Taskheeri, who is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), said Washington's new Middle East theory, its policy of supporting the Shah of Iran and siege of the country, conquering of Afghanistan and Iraq, all policies have failed.

He said Washington was against peaceful Iranian nuclear programme but support the aggressive nukes of Israel and other western countries.

He urged the US to show sagacity and play a positive role in the world politics by putting an end to its uncalled for support for Zionist state of Israel.
The Iranian leader said they loved American people and wished their success but at the same time they reject the policies of their government.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad said a group of American stooges were active in Pakistan, he called for impeachment of President Musharraf, restoration of the deposed judges and the Constitution as it was on Nov 2, 2003.

He said the judges could be restored within an hour according to the Murree Declaration and the task need not any constitutional package or forming of a parliamentary committee.
He said some anti-social elements were playing havoc with the life and property of the people by making them to fight on sectarian basis in Kurram Agency and with the efforts of the Jamaat both the parties in the conflict offered to surrender if security forces were deployed there.
