LAHORE, Feb 11: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has appealed to all Muslim rulers to take all possible measures for helping out the Palestinians of Gaza strip against the Israeli blockade and don't leave them at the mercy of Tel Aviv.

He made this appeal in a letter written to the rulers of all Muslim countries, said a spokesman of JI foreign affairs department here on Monday. In his detailed letter which was delivered to all embassies of Muslim countries, Qazi Hussain Ahmad discussed the devastating effects of the Israeli blockade of Palestinian population, and termed it an open challenge to the 57 Muslim countries and 1.4 billion Muslims of the world. He said it is the religious and moral duty of the whole Muslim ummah particularly the Muslim rulers to save the Palestinians living in Gaza and other occupied areas from Israeli atrocities and take immediate measures to save the lives of those suffering from acute shortage of food, medicines, milk and water etc.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad made it clear that Palestinian liberation from Israeli occupation and retrieval of first Qibla of Muslims (place of worship) is not possible unless all Muslim rulers and whole Muslim world could join hands to back the just cause of Palestinians.
