Musharraf attacks judiciary to save his rule: Qazi

RISALPUR, Feb 01: The president of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal and ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that those political parties who have announced to contest the elections, being held under the supervision of US stooges, will destroy themselves.

He said this while delivering a sermon of Jumaa congregational prayers at his ancestral town Ziarat here on Friday.

He termed the so-called election commission and caretaker governments as partial and slave of one man.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that the worsening law and order situation has culminated up to a very terrible situation.

He said that if President Musharraf reinstates the former judiciary and hands over the government to a unanimous caretaker government, all the problems will come to an end.

He said that there is lawlessness prevailing across the country and the one-man rule has put the country at stake.

He said it is tantamount to waste time to contest elections and expect fair and free elections from such a person who dares to attack the judiciary for the sake of his rule.

He was of the view that the people will get justice when the parliament, judiciary and law are emancipated.

He expressed deep regret over the gross violation of the code of conduct of the elections and termed it a clear evidence of partiality of the Election Commission.

He charged the rulers for transforming the country into a laboratory on the US instructions.

He said that innocent people are being massacred in Darra Adamkhel, Swat and South and North Waziristan.

He held President Pervez Musharraf as responsible for all acts of terrorism. (#)
