counsel being harassed

Jamaat-e-Islami's counsel, Dr. Farooq Hassan, in the Supreme Court
case against the dual offices of General Pervez Musharaff is
receiving life threats in order to debar him from pleading the
case of great national importance in the court of law.
According to a JI media cell press release, Dr. Farooq Hassan has
written a letter to Interior Secretary Kamal Shah and apprised him
about the threats from Wasem Rehan through phone calls, text
messages and emails. Furnishing details of the intimidator's cell
number and email, the accomplished lawyer told the interior
secretary that because of his accepting the Brief of
Jamaat-e-Islami in Constitutional petition 82/07 he is threatened
"to be prepared to face any consequences involving depth and
heart."
Dr. Farooq Hasan has demanded the interior ministry to take
necessary action against the said person who was petitioner in
Constitutional petition 75/2007 which was withdrew from the august
