LAHORE, Oct. 25:
Jamaat-e-Islami is
making arrangements for holding the 3-day members' convention at
Shamki-Bhattian scheduled from November 2-4 at a fast pace, says
the nazim of the convention Mian Maqsood Ahmad while talking to
newsmen on Thursday after undertaking a visit of the convention
site.
He said around twenty five thousand registered pillars (Arkan) of
the party including five thousand women would participate in the
convention which would serve as a big source to provide new vigor
and spirit to the people and remove their uncertainty.
He said welcome camps for the convention would be set up at Multan
road, Raiwind road and in Lahore city. He said special
arrangements were also being made to prevent the participants form
the floating dust in the area. He said shuttle service would be
run from Lahore Press club to the convention twice daily for the
convenience of the newsmen covering the event, and it would be
broadcast online all over the world.
Meanwhile, JI deputy secretary general Dr. Farid Ahmad Paracha
said the convention would play key role in eliminating uncertainty
in the country. He said JI members (pillars) represent every
section of the society and had made it their mission to offer
every sacrifice for brining an Islamic revolution for the
betterment of the country.
The JI leader said they had already offered all kinds of
sacrifices for the nation on many phases in national history. He
said at this crucial juncture their conversion for launching a
movement for eradicating military dictatorship and holding
transparent, free and fair elections was a welcome sign for the
country. |
