JI
ameer writes to arakans
LAHORE, Oct 23:
Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said the 3-day
convention of the party members (arakans) from November 2-4 at
Shamki Bhattian is aimed at chalking out strategy to bring the
country out of the various dangers and mobilize people for
launching the determined struggle against the dictatorship.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad stated this in a special letter to the seasoned
and elderly members (pillars) of the party on Tuesday, urging them
to ensure their whole hearted participation in the convention.
In the letter, whose copies were also provided to the press, Qazi
praised the struggle and services of the senior party Arkaan
(pillars) saying they had waged a long struggle for establishing
the supremacy of Islam and enforcement of its system in the
country, and offering them as a religious duty while associating
with the Jamaat Islami. He said as a result of the struggle by the
senior party pillars, the JI has now become a force to reckon with
and people of
Pakistan were looking up to the party under the present
troubling circumstances and besetting dangers for leading towards
the solution.
He said it was the reason JI leadership was holding the convention
to provide solution to the problems facing the nation and ridding
it out of dangers. Qazi said though elderly and ailing members
were exempted from participating in such events, yet their
participation in the convention under present circumstances was
considered vitally important since it would serve as invigorating
and encouraging for other member and general public. The JI ameer
said their participation would also cast positive effects on the
spirits of their families and members of the party. He also asked
the district bodies of the party and other members to provide the
senior members all kinds of facilities during travel and stay at
the convention. (#) |
