ameer appeals for providing corrugated sheets
Lahore,
Nov 28: Jamaat-e-Islami's ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has appealed to
inland and overseas Pakistanis to donate open heartedly for
preventing quake victims from snowfall and rainfall in sever cold
weather.
In a statement Monday, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said there was an
urgent need of purchasing corrugated iron sheets that are used as
rooftops and warm clothes for the victims because snowfall had
already started thrusting the mercury below freezing point. He
said lives of people specially children are under severe threat
due to cold.
He
said JI has been distributing corrugated iron sheets among quake
hit areas for the last three weeks because people demanded it in
place of tents. He said people said they could build temporary
houses by using the recovered logs and blocks from the debris for
erecting walls while the roofs could be provided by the relief
organizations
