Rulers
struggling to please India: Munawar
Lahore,
Nov 23: Jamaat-e-Islami
secretary general Syed Munawar Hasan has expressed wonder as to
why Pakistani rulers are going out of the way to please India
despite New Delhi's blunt refusals to all of Islamabad's proposals
which were more beneficial to India than Pakistan.
He
was commenting on India's refusal to Gen Musharraf's proposal to
demilitarize Kashmir, while addressing a gathering at Batgram
during his visit to quake hit areas, says a message received here.
Munawar
said all the unilateral measures taken by Islamabad so far with
reference to Kashmir were more beneficial to India than Pakistan
but Indian rulers had always given cold shoulder to Islamabad.
He
said it is beyond comprehension as to why Gen Musharraf is bent
upon befriending India despite that Delhi was massacring Kashmiris
and its seven hundred thousand army is stationed in Kashmir to
crush their indigenous freedom struggle by force. Besides, India
has violated water treaty to block Pakistan's water share. But our
rulers are still pinning hopes with Delhi, he said.
