Turkish
delegation donates Rs. 15 m in JI quake fund

Nov 21: A
ten-member delegation of Turkish Saadet Party called here Tuesday
on ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed, says a party
press release.
Delegation
was headed by M. Recai Kutan, Chairman Saadet Party and has been
visiting Pakistan to find facts about earthquake. Temel
Karmollaoglu Vice Chairman of the party, Mustafa Koylu chairman
social welfare organization Jan Soyo and Abdul Ghaffar Aziz
director foreign affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami were also present on
the occasion.
During
the meeting, Jan Soyo head presented a cheque of worth 15 million
rupees to JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmed for the help of quake-hit
people.
Talking
to JI ameer, visiting Turkish leader M. Recai Kutan expressed deep
sense of grief and sorrow over the devastation caused by Oct 8
earthquake. He said Saadet Party will set up relief centre in
quake-hit areas. Mr Kutan thanked the JI social welfare body Al-Khidmat
Foundation for their hospitality to the visiting delegation from
Turkey. He said we can not forget the role of people of this area
who sent delegations at time when Othman Caliphate was in danger
in Turkey. Qazi Hussain Ahmed lauded the role of Muslim countries
played in this hour of need. He said Turkey had been in the
forefront with their help and expertise for the relief and
rehabilitation of the earthquake survivors. He thanked the
delegation for their timely visit and generous help for the quake
affectees.
Meanwhile,
Abdul Hadi Awang head of Islamic Party from Malaysia also called
on JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmed along with his delegation. He
apprised the JI head about the relief operation being carried out
by Malaysian medical teams under the banner of Al-Khidmat.
He
said Jamaat is binding force in the Muslim world. The relief
operation under its social welfare wing Al-Khidmat is laudable.
Qazi thanked the Malaysian delegation for their visit and support
in the relief activities.
