Four Plastic Surgery Operations successfully performed Lahore, Dec 28: Four plastic surgery operations on quake affectees were successfully performed in a field hospital run by a Jamaat-e-Islami affiliated group PIMA in Bela Noor Shah area of Muzaffarabad. According to a press release, the operations were performed by a team of Belgium's surgeons coming here under Islamic Help UK. Hospital incharge Dr Riaz Shaikh said plastic surgeons were not available in any field hospital in Muzaffarabad and before that all such patients were being shifted to Islamabad. He said another team of doctors from Ireland headed by Dr Tanvir Razi has reached the hospital while noted dental surgeon of Karachi Dr Kalim Khan has also treated 500 patients in the hospital. He said the OPD and Pharmacy of the hospital have already been shifted into containers and soon male and female wards would also be shifted to containers. |
