Mayor Manchester calls on JI leaders
Lahore,
Dec 20: Lord
Mayor Manchester Mohammad Afzal Khan paid courtesy visit to
Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters Mansoorah and called on the leaders
of the party, says a press release.

Afzal Khan was given red-carpet welcome in Mansoorah. He was
received by Hafiz Mohammad Idrees, naib ameer of the party. Both
the leader exchanged views on a meeting which was also attended by
JI deputy secretary general Malik Mohammad Ashraf, deputy ameer of
JI Punjab chapter Azhar Iqbal Ahsan, deputy secretary general
Ehsan Ullah Butt and others.
The
visiting leader from England lauded the role of Jamaat-e-Islami
and its sister organizations to provide relief after the Oct 8
earthquake. He said Muslims countries should form accident
administration department to meet such disasters.

Alkhidmat Syed Ehsanullah Waqas, MPA briefed Lord Mayor about the
party's relief operation in quake-hit areas. The JI leaders hailed
political role of Mohammad Afzal and hoped that he will continue
to promote relations between the countries besides serving the
Muslim community in England. |
