5000 more winterized tents to affected areas Lahore, Dec 19: Alkhidmat foundation Sunday dispatched some 5000 winterized tents and 10000 waterproof sheets to affected areas of Azad Kashmir and Hazara Division. The project in-charge Al-Khidmat Foundation main relief camp in Rawalpindi Zafar Qayyum said that due to snowfall and heavy rains in the affected areas people are facing a lot of problems. He said that they are giving preference to the affected people living above 5000 feet from sea level as the survival at this altitude is difficult and the people in these areas require more attention. He said that they are moving the relief goods to the affected areas without any delay and these tents and waterproof sheets be dispatched to the affected areas the same day these goods were received here. Al-Khidmat Foundation spokesman said that they have already provided 10, 000 iron sheets in Kohistan, Batgram, Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Balakot for const5ruction of rooms for displaced people while some 30,000 tents were also provided to the affected people before the present consignment. |
