of Al-Khidmat hospital shifted to containers

, Dec 19: The Jamaat-e-Islami's field hospital in Muzaffarabad run by
Al-Khidmat and PIMA has shifted its out patient department to two
large containers donated by JI Women Wing Karachi.
According to Dr Riaz Shaikh, in-charge of the hospital,
about eight hundred patients most of whom are women and children
visited the OPD daily. Until now the OPD was set up in tents where
serious problems were being faced by people due to cold, snowfall
and rains. He expressed gratitude for Ms Nasira Ilyas, chairperson
JI Women Wing Karachi, for this valuable donation. He said now
eight doctors were serving patients at the OPD.
He said a social service institution, Citizens Foundation,
had also assured providing two large containers to the hospital
which would be used as women and children wards. He said Al-Khidmat
hospital being the largest field hospital at Muzaffarabad, had
performed 7628 surgical operations while 33 children were born
there so far. A total of 46279 patients had so far been treated at
the hospital. |
