should rebuilt private schools in quake hit areas: Sameea Raheel

leader and MMA MNA Sameea Raheel Qazi has demanded the government
to compensate and reconstruct the private and social sector
educational institutions destroyed by October 8 earthquake. She
was talking to a delegation of women teachers from private schools
of Muzaffarabad on Thursday. She said apart from the government
schools in the quake affected areas there were thousands of
private schools and social sector educational institutions where
millions of students were studying. She expressed sorrow that
prime minister Shaukat Aziz and other government officials have
been declaring education as their top priority but it proved mere
lip service. She assured the delegation that she will take up the
matter of rehabilitation of private schools in quake affected
areas with the federal education minister and also raise the issue
in national assembly so that future of millions of students and
livelihood of thousands of teachers could be secured. |
