Rulers
ignorant of educational requirements: Munawar Hasan
Lahore,
Dec. 2: Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Syed Munawar Hasan has
said that rulers are ignorant of the requirements of educational
syllabi in a Muslim society. Our education system is producing
educated servants while the imported syllabus is producing
unemployed youth who turn towards crimes for livelihood. He was
delivering Friday sermon at Mansoorah Mosque.
Munawar Hasan said religious seminaries are playing their
role towards fulfilling educational requirements of the society
but the higher educated people are not discharging their duties in
promoting the agenda of Muslim Ummah.
He said president Musharraf while discussing the education
always forget that country's education system is not in conformity
with national values and requirements. It produces unemployed
youth but not those who could promote national unity and
solidarity. The education system is promoting sense of deprivation
and frustration among youth who easily become tools in the hands
of criminals. This is the reason of fast increasing wave of crimes
like dacoity, murder, mobile snatching etc.
Munawar Hasan said Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan but
Gen Musharraf government has surrendered on the issue in its
attempt to please India with unilateral confidence building
measures (CBMs). On the other hand, he said, India never
reciprocated any of Pakistan's CBMs which greatly benefited Delhi.
Rejection of all of Islamabad's CBMs by India suggest that
president Musharraf and PM Shaukat Aziz has simply lost the sense
of national honor and prestige. He warned that the nation and
Kashmiri people will never allow rulers to surrender on Kashmir
cause. He said dictatorial rulers are making solo flights even in
the national tragedy like earthquake.
