Call
to improve quality of education
Lahore,
Dec 1: Deputy
Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha said
constitution of Pakistan laid foundation of country's education
system. No one is empowered to changes them for fulfilling its
ulterior motives.
In
a statement on Thursday, Dr. Paracha said that the government
officials are not trying to conform contemporary syllabus with the
modern day needs. So-called enlightened rulers are not willing to
grant funds for the promotion of quality education in government
schools. Poor people have been left at the mercy of private
educational institutions; therefore, government schools are facing
tough times.
The
rulers, he demanded, should come forward and instead of spending
huge amount of money on anti-madares campaign and scrapping out
the aayat from Islamic Studies books, they should revamp the
government schools so that poor lot is not deprived of education.
