ameer praises PIMA for good work in AJK medical relief

Dec 1: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussain
Ahmad
has eulogized Pakistan Islamic Medical Association for setting up
100-bedded hospital at Subri, near AJK capital Muzaffarabad.
In a statement on Thursday Qazi
Hussain Ahmed said harsh winter season has caused multiple cases
of pneumonia
and they are being treated at Field Hospitals. Qazi said PIMA
doctors have proved their medical and hospital management skills
after setting up Field Hospitals in quake-hit areas of Balakot,
Bagh and Muzaffarabad. "This great service to humanity will
be remembered for long.”
He
urged the PIMA doctors to step up efforts for shifting the Field
Hospitals to some permanent buildings. He assured them all out
support by Jamaat-e-Islami for setting up field hospitals.
Secretary General PIMA Prof Dr.
Iqbal Khan while giving details about the hospital said that their
organization was already working on this project but Oct 8
earthquake razed the building of hospital to ground.
On
the directives of Qazi Hussain Ahmed, PIMA conducted survey of the
collapsed building and then started reconstructing it on war
-footing so that Muzaffarabad field hospital could be shifted in
this building.
With
the help of dedicated and tireless efforts, Dr Iqbal Khan said,
PIMA was able to set up first ever social sector complete hospital
where needy will be provided free medical treatment from OPD to
major surgery. He said PIMA and its patron body Jamaat-e-Islami is
collecting more donations to add further facilities in this
hospital.
